January 15 - January 21, 2007 - Part 3

Thursday, and Heather was back at it!  Work by day, and, well, work by night, too!

Heather presenting an orientation to first term students in Bell Hall.

Friday morning, just outside of campus, what - or whom - do we find on the hood of our car???  A FREELOADER!

This little fellow must have endured the ten minute ride someplace out of sight before scrambling up onto the hood - surely out of total desperation...or perhaps end phase brain damage (did I mention that the roads are rather rough here??)  He hugged the hood close, as in the photo above, if you can make it out, to avoid bonking his head on the wildly thrashing hood.  As soon as it was feasible, we pulled over where he wouldn't get squished by passing cars and tried to gently coax him off.  Instead, he clamored onto the roof of the car, picked up as much speed as he could, and zoomed straight off the back of the vehicle and kept on truckin', never looking back!  Go Lizzy!

Friday evening, Peter takes a turn presenting on the stage:
He helps run a question-and-answer session for first term students, after playing a wonderful video slideshow of life at SGU that Student Government put together.

We got out to True Blue Bay Resort Friday night, where we discovered yet another Grenadafabulous something:

Nice bathroom facilities are definitely a luxury to note in Grenada.  Here, we found the above gorgeous stone sink, with an appropriately unique faucet.  Don't miss the large PVC fittings sticking out!  It's even more apparent in person, as the plumbing under the sink is very large, very exposed, very ungorgeous, PVC pipe.

Anna and Greg.

Britney.

On Sunday, Britney and I headed over to Noga's cottage for the afternoon.  What a treat!  She secured a cute cottage in Woburn, about a ten to fifteen minute drive from Lance Aux Epines.

We took a lovely walk to the shore.

This sprawling compound is evidently owned by a British family.  Renters need not inquire, as it apparently occupied most of the year by friends and family of the lucky owners.
