The big day!  It is our greatest wish to be surrounded by family and friends on our wedding day.   We hope this page will answer most of the questions you may have about the ceremony and reception.

On July 22, 2006, Heather and Peter will be wed at the Ram's Head Inn on Shelter Island, New York.  The ceremony will commence at 5 p.m., and a reception will follow immediately thereafter at the Inn.  Guests staying on Shelter Island will have a very short drive to the Inn; likely less than five minutes.  Guests traveling from off of Shelter Island should allow time for ferry travel, and those needing to travel on the Montauk Highway or through any of the Hampton towns should leave plenty of extra travel time.

The ceremony will be held outdoors if at all possible.  It is advisable for guests to be prepared for hot weather, cold wind, or light rain.  In the event of severe weather or heavy rain, the ceremony will be held indoors at the Ram's Head Inn.  In either case, most guests will be standing for the duration of the ceremony, which will not extend beyond twenty minutes.

A dinner reception will follow under an awning attached to the Inn.  This space will be enclosed in the case of inclimate weather.

Alcoholic beverages will be provided for those guests who wish to partake in this activity.  Please plan your post-recpetion travel in advance, and be aware that there are often only two operating taxi cabs on all of Shelter Island and they are not credit card equipped.  Contact information for these services will be provided on the website closer to the event, and it will be provided at the reception.

Thank you, and we look forward to sharing our special day with you!
